Ten Year Anniversary Challenge

Come join the brainstorming!!!!

Over the last couple of weeks Heidi and I have been talking about how we are going to celebrate our 10 YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY! We have thrown around a few ideas but nothing seems to be sticking. This morning I asked our girls and they had a number of good ideas including having a dance party, doing dress-ups, going back to Disneyland, .
Then I got to thinking. Why don't I ask family and friends to pitch in. What do you think? What would be a good way to celebrate 10 years of marriage?

Here are the constraints.

  • I can take one maybe two days off work.
  • Our budget is probably no more than $200-$300
  • It should be memorable--it is after all our tenth year of marriage.
  • We should decide really soon. (Our anniversary is May 18th)

If you have an idea you can leave a comment, send me an email, call or text it. I will post about the winning idea. Who knows maybe we can even come up with a prize for the idea that is selected.

  1. Today Maren said that for our anniversary we should eat meatballs... interesting idea. (eating meatballs must have been on her mind)

  2. The Marriott downtown is a business hotel so the weekend rates are often cheaper and a couple of times we have gone there and rediscovered our own neighborhood- art galleries, try a new restaurant, hike up Big Springs trail (South Fork) and come back and soak in the hot tub, go to a roof top concert (which you can see from the windows on the east side of the hotel), enjoy an uninterrupted conversation.

  3. Let me know if you decide to go to the Marriott. After all I work there... We have a romance package choc covered strawberries and sparkling cider as well as breakfast for 2 for $129 (weekends only) or I should be able to get you just a room for $79. I would be happy to check availability for you. I could probably throw in a free movie too. Happy Anniversary.
